Book of promissory notes kept by George C. Johnston, licensed trader among the Indians, whose headquarters were usually at the Shawnee village of Wapaughkonnetta. Many of the signatures were from that area. Enclosed is a brief history of Johnston and individuals named in the book, written by John A. Rayner, of Piqua, Ohio.
